An avocational educational program for neurodivergent students ages 14 through adulthood, creating pathways that support transition planning to reach important future goals.
Waves Academy of the Creative Arts and Career Center, Inc. provides transition planning for neurodivergent students ages 14 and older, offering opportunities to explore careers, employment pathways, and educational opportunities that support each student’s goals and dreams. We create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop essential social, life, and job skills through educational workshops and work-based learning experiences, enabling them to achieve greater independence at home, in school, and in the workplace.

Waves Academy Workshops
We are currently scheduling intakes for students who would like to apply to join our second 6-week avocational workshops that will begin on Tuesday, November 3,4, & 5, 2026. Seats are limited to 12 students per cohort.
Culinary
6 Week Workshop
Explore this pathway to learn foundational kitchen techniques from safety protocols, customer service, and food prep. Students can build skills for personal or professional use for future jobs in the community or at Waves Cafe, our in-house pop up cafe set up to support students. SERV Safe certification is available.
Art Studio
6 Week Workshop
Join our art studio workshop to explore the different mediums of art and learn to develop skills to use as a hobby, create your own business, or apply for different jobs in this field of study in the community.
Entrepreneur 101
6 Week Workshop
Students explore different ideas they may have to create their own small business. They learn how to create a budget and how to purchase the supplies needed and explore the different pathways to marketing their small business. Students are expected to join the Waves Marketplace on November 14th, 2026 to showcase their product(s), artwork, and/or service they have created as a vendor. Students will receive the proceeds from their sales through their own payment portal. We are seeking sponsors to support them as they learn to grow their business.
Computer 101
6 Week Workshop
Dive into the digital world with our Computer 101 workshop. Students gain essential tech literacy, from using essential programs to internet safety, preparing them for modern workplace demands and personal growth.
